Ensuring Oregon State University’s long-term strength and success depends on a bold vision for a resilient future. OSU's ability to overcome reduced state support, shifting federal priorities and changing demographics requires energy and creativity. Now is the time for innovative ideas that align resources with priorities and identify opportunities for growth. More than one-time cost savings, we’re looking for permanent improvements in how we operate.

Starting in 2026, OSU is embarking on a Strategic Resource Renewal initiative designed to ensure a clear path forward for students, employees and the communities we serve.

Workstreams

The SRR Team has identified a set of opportunities that align with OSU’s mission, values and Prosperity Widely Shared. Each workstream represents a broader theme, where OSU may be able to strengthen impact, improve sustainability, and better support students, employees, and communities. During Phase II, we’re exploring the feasibility and impact of each.
